DR. MICHAEL MONSON

Michael Monson, M.D, F.A.C.C.

Dr Michael Monson, a native of Long Beach, Mississippi, joined RGG cardiology in June 2018. He received a degree in biochemistry from Mississippi State University, and then earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he served as chief medical resident. He then completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Mid America Heart Institute. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr Monson’s professional interests included cardiac catheterization, complex coronary and peripheral artery interventions, echocardiography, and the treatment of congestive heart failure.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, guitar, fishing, reading and traveling. He and his wife, Kristi, have six children and are members of Our Savior Catholic Church.
