Dr. Ritesh Gupta joined the practice in 2007 after completing his cardiology fellowship from University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He completed additional fellowship training in Interventional cardiology from University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Gupta was voted the “Best clinical fellow” two years in a row at UAB and was the Chief fellow there in his final year of fellowship training.
Dr. Gupta completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and has a Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) from Northern Illinois University. He received his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr. Gupta is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Echocardiography and Interventional Cardiology.
He specializes in complex coronary and peripheral interventions including carotid stents. Dr. Gupta is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology. He has been in Mobile over 10 years with wife, Dr. Shikha Gupta and their four children. Dr. Gupta spends his free time playing golf, racquetball, playing with his kids and enjoys watching football.
