Dr. Michael A. Rihner, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.C.P.

Dr. Michael A. Rihner is a highly respected cardiologist in Mobile, AL, bringing exceptional expertise in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease to his patients at RGG Cardiology. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University, followed by an internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine and a cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center.

Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology, Dr. Rihner has proudly served the Mobile community for over 17 years. As a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians, and a member of the Southern Medical Association, he is dedicated to providing compassionate, top-tier heart care. Dr. Rihner lives in Mobile with his wife, Sylvie, and their three children, enjoying family life in the community he serves.

Dr. Ritesh Gupta, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Ritesh Gupta is a distinguished interventional cardiologist at RGG Cardiology in Mobile, Alabama, known for his skill in complex coronary and peripheral interventions, including carotid stents. He joined the practice in 2007 after completing his cardiology fellowship and additional interventional cardiology training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he was honored as “Best Clinical Fellow” for two consecutive years and served as Chief Fellow in his final year. Dr. Gupta completed his internal medicine residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation, holds a Master’s in Public Health (M.P.H.) from Northern Illinois University, and earned his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, and interventional cardiology, he is a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Gupta has called Mobile home for over 10 years, where he lives with his wife, Dr. Shikha Gupta, and their four children. In his free time, he enjoys golf, racquetball, spending time with his kids, and watching football.

Dr. Stephanie D. Grosz, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.H.R.S.

Dr. Stephanie D. Grosz is a leading cardiac electrophysiologist in Mobile, AL, specializing in heart rhythm disorders at RGG Cardiology with more than 20 years of dedicated experience. A Duke University graduate, she earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she also completed her internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship, and electrophysiology fellowship.

Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Grosz is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the Heart Rhythm Society. Her expertise in pacemakers, defibrillator therapy, and cardiac ablation has earned her widespread respect among patients and peers seeking advanced arrhythmia treatment. Dr. Grosz resides in Mobile with her husband, Dr. Dimitris Kyriazis, and their two children, deeply connected to the community she serves.

Dr. Michael Monson, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Michael Monson is a skilled interventional cardiologist at RGG Cardiology in Mobile, Alabama, who joined the practice in June 2018. A native of Long Beach, Mississippi, he earned his biochemistry degree from Mississippi State University and his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, serving as Chief Medical Resident, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Mid America Heart Institute.

Board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Monson’s interests include cardiac catheterization, complex coronary and peripheral artery interventions, echocardiography, and congestive heart failure treatment. Outside the office, he enjoys golf, playing guitar, fishing, reading, and traveling. He lives in Mobile with his wife, Kristi, and their six children, and they are active members of Our Savior Catholic Church.

Dr. Michael Mitchell, M.D.

Dr. Michael Darren Mitchell is a compassionate general cardiologist at RGG Cardiology in Mobile, Alabama, who values delivering comprehensive heart care as part of a dedicated team. Born in Miami, Florida, he pursued his biochemistry undergraduate degree at Florida State University and earned both his medical degree (with Honors) and a Master’s in Public Health (MD, MPH) from Tulane University. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship in Colorado, where he conducted basic science research in advanced heart failure treatments while becoming an avid skier and mountain biker.

After 15 years in private cardiology practice in Portland, Oregon, he briefly assisted post-Lahaina fire healthcare efforts on Maui before choosing Mobile as his “next and final step” — drawn to the location and the exceptional quality of care at RGG Cardiology. Dr. Mitchell lives on the water in Spanish Fort with his wife (also a physician) and their four children spanning a wide range of ages. In his spare time, he enjoys landscaping, gardening, fishing, cooking, and simply spending time with family.

Dr. David Nery, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. David Nery is a talented cardiologist specializing in interventional and structural cardiology at RGG Cardiology in Mobile, AL. He recently joined the practice after completing his cardiology fellowship at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, with training in general, interventional, and structural cardiology. Dr. Nery earned his medical degree from Saint George’s University and completed his internal medicine residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, California, where he also served as Chief Resident. He later worked as a clinical instructor in the Advanced Heart Failure division at the University of California San Francisco, managing heart transplant recipients, LVADs, percutaneous mechanical support, and pulmonary hypertension.

Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology, he excels in procedures such as complex coronary and peripheral interventions, TAVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, ASD/PFO closure, pacemaker implantation, and transesophageal echocardiography. A native of Brazil raised in South Florida, Dr. Nery is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. He lives in Mobile with his wife, Chelsea, and their four children, cherishing time with family, fly fishing, and golf.

Megan Brown, FNP-C

Megan Brown, FNP-C, joined RGG in 2021 as a Nurse Practitioner and has been an integral member of the cardiology team ever since. With more than seven years of experience in cardiac and intensive care nursing, including ICU and cardiac ICU settings, Megan brings advanced clinical expertise and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to cardiovascular care.

She earned her degree from Auburn University and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Megan specializes in heart failure management, electrophysiology, and preventive cardiology, with a strong focus on helping patients better understand their cardiovascular health and achieve long-term wellness.

Committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, Megan works collaboratively with the cardiology team to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Her critical care background allows her to provide comprehensive care with an emphasis on prevention, disease management, patient education, and improving overall quality of life.

Megan is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, staying active through fitness, traveling, and spending time on the water with family and friends.

Hannah Farmer, CRNP

Hannah Farmer, CRNP, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with specialized training in cardiovascular medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, where she completed additional focused training in cardiovascular subspecialty care. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama.

Hannah spent six years working as a registered nurse in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology before becoming a Nurse Practitioner. During that time, she gained extensive experience caring for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions and heart rhythm disorders. Her clinical background includes cardiovascular disease management, patient education, and collaborative care coordination aimed at improving long-term patient outcomes.

Hannah has a strong passion for preventive cardiology and cardiometabolic risk reduction. She is dedicated to helping patients better understand their health and empowering them to make practical, sustainable lifestyle changes that support long-term wellness.

A lifelong resident of Mobile County, Alabama, Hannah is proud to care for patients in the community she has always called home. Outside of work, she adores spending time with her husband and two children as well as family and friends. She also enjoys all the activities living on the Gulf Coast has to offer such as fishing, hunting, reading, and watching the sunrise and sunset.
