Dr. David Nery recently joined the practice after completing his cardiology fellowship at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio; where he trained in general, interventional, and structural cardiology.
Dr. Nery received his medical degree from Saint George’s University, and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, California. There he also served as Chief Resident.
Following residency, he worked as a clinical instructor in the Advanced Heart Failure division at the University of California San Francisco, tasked with management of heart transplant recipients, LVAD, percutaneous mechanical support, and pulmonary hypertension.
Dr. Nery specializes in several procedures, including complex coronary and peripheral interventions, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Watchman, Mitraclip, ASD and PFO closure, pacemaker implantation, and transesophageal echocardiography. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology.
He resides in Mobile with his wife, Chelsea, and their three children. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his children, fly fishing, and golf. A native of Brazil and raised in South Florida, he is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
